Your family history may open a door you don't know about.
Odarcon checks what you tell us about your family against citizenship law across 70 countries - every route, not just the obvious one - and shows you what it would actually take.
Start the free checkTakes about 10 minutes. No account, no documents.
Why this is free
The question everyone asks. Three plain facts.
- You don't pay us - not to run the check, not to see your result, not to be put in touch with a lawyer.
- We don't want your documents - there's nowhere to upload one.
- We make our money from the law firms we work with, not from the people we screen.
How it works
About ten minutes on where your family was born and moved. You don't need to know any history - just what you were told.
Every country and route we can check, with a confidence read and the reasoning behind it - including where the answer is no.
What each route would actually require, without handing anything over. Choose whether to hear from a partner firm - or not.
What makes this different
1. Borders moved under your family's feet
Austria-Hungary, the USSR, interwar Poland's eastern territories - the country an ancestor left often isn't the country that recognizes them today. One family line can open two or three doors at once.
2. The law keeps changing, both ways
Routes open and close. A door that didn't exist when you last checked may exist now, and one that used to be open may have shut. We check against current law and say when it last changed.
3. Every route, not just ancestry
Descent, marriage, residence, birth in country, investment and country-specific programs are checked in the same pass. Ancestry is our deepest specialty - not our only one.
4. We don't bill you for the case
Odarcon doesn't do legal work, so we have no incentive to steer you toward the most expensive claim over the fastest honest one.
And the strongest one: we can tell you what a route would actually take - the documents each one needs - without asking you for a single one.
What you get
A result page for every route we can check: a confidence read, the reasoning behind it, and the documents it would need. Nothing hypothetical - see a real anonymized example.
See a sample report →What we don't do
- No document upload - there is nowhere on this site to send one.
- No recommending or matching you to a specific lawyer.
- No model reading your family story - it's a rules engine, checked against written law.
- No score, rating, or "readiness" number for your case.
Privacy, in one paragraph
Odarcon runs the screening in your browser, and we never ask for documents. Nothing you type - including the free-text story box, your name, and your email - is sent to us unless you press Send and tick the box that puts you on our list. Nothing reaches a law firm unless you do that. Full detail, and how to be deleted, is in the privacy policy.

Borders moved before your family did
Why "we were Austrian" and "we’re eligible for Austrian citizenship" are usually two different facts.
Italy's 2025 law, and what's still open
Law 74/2025 closed the great-grandparent line. It didn’t close everything.
Descent isn't the only door
Marriage, residence and investment routes exist alongside ancestry, and get checked far less often.
