Accessibility statement

Odarcon aims to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA, and to comply with Israeli Standard 5568 for sites serving the public in Israel. This statement is drafted honestly from what has actually been built and tested, not from what we intend to build.

What we've built

• Semantic HTML throughout: real buttons, real links, real navigation and real form elements - not divs dressed up as controls.
• Visible focus states on every interactive element - no outline is removed without a stronger replacement.
• A skip-to-content link on every page, the screener included.
• Full keyboard operability, including the screener: every control can be reached and used without a mouse.
• Support for prefers-reduced-motion.
• An accessibility menu (bottom corner of every page) for text size, contrast, link underlining and reduced motion, with no vendor overlay and no third-party script - your choice is stored only in your own browser.

Known gaps

Four gaps used to be listed here, and all four are now closed: the controls on the form where you describe a relative carry labels a screen reader can read out, the heading order no longer skips a level, the screener has a skip-to-content link like every other page, and moving from one step to the next is announced. What is left is what we have not proved. Colour contrast and touch target sizes have been measured and improved - by us, not by anyone independent. Screen-reader behavior across the full screener flow has not been tested at all. Until a real audit has run, automated and manual and with an actual screen reader in someone’s hands, we are not claiming conformance with WCAG 2.1 level AA or Israeli Standard 5568. This page will keep saying what is still missing.
